John D. McPeake, Ph.D

John D. McPeake, Ph.D., C.A.S., is an addiction specialist, and a psychologist He received his B.S. in psychology from Tufts University in 1963, his M.A. in psychology from Northeastern University in 1967 and finished his Ph.D. at Boston College with a dissertation analyzing aspects of progressive relaxation and imagery in treating anxiety disorders.

He founded The Dublin Group: Behavioral Health Consultants, Inc., in 1995 after a fifteen year tenure at Beech Hill Hospital as Senior VP for Clinical Programs.

Dr. McPeake is a Certified Addiction Specialist (C.A.S.) and is on the International Advisory Board of the American Academy of Health Care Providers in the Addictive Disorders; The Board of Advisors of Thompson Island Outward Bound School (TIOBEC); the Board of Directors of the Gavin House; he is a member of the American College Addiction Treatment Administrators (ACATA); and is listed in the National Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology.

Dr. McPeake writes and speaks frequently on addiction and related topics and is particularly interested in healthy alternatives to psychoactive substances.
